I have worked every week day for a week now. And I worked Saturday too. We (Carolyn and I) had gotten just a bit behind because of her caring for her daughter. Then I had back pain one day and uttered something like "screw work- there are heavy boxes there" and missed a day. That was the day 8 boxes of Christmas stuff came in, besides 2 or 3 boxes of regular stuff. So, then for a few days we were really behind. Friday, Carolyn pretty much started working her regular schedule. I was over my back pain. Saturday, instead of an hour (which is what we do, come in and straighten the department), I worked 3.

I worked Monday. Tuesdays are my weekday off day. I worked Tuesday. Carolyn worked a couple of hours today and then at 1, she came in to work in the actual Wal-mart department she works 40 hours a week in.

She looked at what I had done in the time since she left-- put out two boxes of cards, stock and fill balloons, stock and fill bags. Unwrap and display the new Thanksgiving cards, put out like 50 packs of stickers and 10 packs of gift tags, straighten the department (all the rows of cards looked like a bomb had hit them last night--yesterday I spent hours straightening the dern things too). She said "It looks like we are catching up. The department looks great. You are doing a great job."

Then I clocked out and came home. 2 more days until I am off again...
