shiver me whatevers
It's 34 degrees but it feels like 27.

Today I volunteered at the gallery and two very interesting things occurred- in the gallery next door, Canopy, someone was having a child's b'day party. All the little kids had costumes and performers streemed in---magicians, puppeteers, a lady with a LIVE monkey. Strangely, there is no bathroom in that gallery. But there is a door that opens into the one I was in, so approximately every 3 minutes a group of little kids, dressed as spidermen and witches and boy wizards (even a tiger with face paint and everything), each set with an adult, would come through the door and head to the two restrooms at the back of the gallery. One little kid (spiderman) loved the homeless tin man.

The other interesting thing was just after I put in the security code, unlocked the double doors, turned on all the lights, pulled out the donation box and sat down to read-- a guy (an artist that has keys to the building) came out of one of the many other doors in the back of the gallery. I didn't even see anything but the back of his head as he went out the doors I had just unlocked. 4 more times during my shift, he walked by my desk and scared me everytime. Crazy artist.

Well, off to drink cider and read the February Martha Stewart Living magazine.
